Percival Tallett (1900-1962) was the husband of my paternal grandmother, Matilda Jane Tallett (nee Ottley) for whom my own daughter, Tilly, was named. They lived at 79 Purfleet Road, Aveley, which was the scene of many of my happiest childhood memories.
